Nike “Track Lab” shined in a spectacular multi-media Dome, custom designed by Pacific Domes. The elegant dome drew spectators to Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. The Nike "Track Lab” Dome was a colossal event display featuring the famous American manufacturer’s line of Nike advanced footwear, running gear and athletic apparel. More recently, Nike’s tradition of ‘exceeding the vision of what’s possible’ has won the company recognition as the World’s Most Innovative Company in 2015.
The multi media dome caught everyone's eye. When it comes to advertising and marketing, Nike’s commercials have recruited some famous NBA and PGA athletes promoting Nike products and the research behind the Nike trademark.
The Nike Sport Research Lab opened in 1980 as a research and development institute located in Beaverton, Oregon owned by Nike. At the "secret" facilities—underground research labs, high-tech training centers, Nike scientists unlock athlete insights in collaboration with talented designers to create the most technologically advanced footwear, apparel and equipment for superior performance by athletes.
At the Oregon Project, Nike aims to outfit the US marathon team one high tech step at a time. Inside an Olympic-style training camp, corporate scientists are reengineering neuro-mechanics, blood chemistry, and brain waves. Nike Inc. has pledged a whopping $13.5 million toward renovations of track and field facilities at the University of Oregon, intended to finance necessary upgrades that would facilitate the hosting of the 2021 World Track & Field Championships in Eugene.
