Life Under a Geodesic Dome House

Amidstthe city scamper and swarm of the day, we often stray from stopping to smell the roses. At Pacific Domes, we offer you an opportunity to return to Earth.  A perfect geodesic dome house is the clear choice of the future.  Conceived from the illuminated mind of R. Buckminster Fuller, the geodesic dome holds true to its place on a pedestal.  Remarkable for their efficiency and fortitude, they are even bearers of health and energetic alignment. With a geodesic dome from Pacific Domes, forge sustainably into the future!

Pacific Domes devotes brainpower and business to cultivating a brighter future.  In the wise words of Fuller, Pacific Domes believes in humanity working for humanity.  Asha Deliverance founded Pacific Domes in 1980.  Her team has travelled the planet, co-creating dreams with the most expansive minds.  Feeling like bringers of light to clients and to the world.

Fuller, or “Bucky” as many affectionately called him, dedicated his life to ‘comprehensive anticipatory design.’  Bucky shared with the world the ingenuity of the geodesic dome.  He revealed its unparalleled strength, efficiency and durability.  Bucky knew that, if allowed, domes could revolutionize the housing system.  Pacific Domes uses his design as a platform for driving consciousness into the future.  Domes are quite the useful tool.  Domes are affordable, exceptionally strong and easy to construct. They are made of durable and light material and they require less energy to maintain.  Domes can help to address issues we have with the environment, poverty and architecture.

In 1972 Viktor Papanek wrote, “By creating whole new species of permanent garbage to clutter up the landscape and by choosing materials and processes that pollute the air we breathe, designers have become a dangerous breed!”In many ways, design determines humanity’s fate.  How we build homes, the space we make to fill, is incredibly influential.  People are affected by energies birthed by forms constructed.  With a geodesic dome house, you live in a natural form.  You have open space. This circular area breathes positive energies into your days and life.  You live efficiently. Using significantly less material to construct and 30% less energy to maintain, domes help us move forward into that brighter future.

As humanity recoils further and further from nature, we jeopardize it and in turn ourselves.  As brilliance like Bucky and Papanek recognized, by aligning humanity with the evolutionary forces of the universe, we learn to coexist.  We begin to nourish our environment as it nurtures us.  Innovative housing methods like the dome use technologies and resources to affect change and promote a responsibly led future.

Projection Domes for UNESCO’s 70th anniversary in Paris

This week, in celebration of UNESCO’s 70th birthday, Obscura Digital, will be projecting awe-inspiring images across several platforms, the first being the “Representative Globe”, a gorgeous 50’ sphere with a custom cover made by Pacific Domes International , the other being UNESCO’s architecturally unique, star shaped headquarters in Paris, France. These projections are the foundation for UNESCO’s new communication platform, the “Mosaic of Change”.  The desired effect of these grand and impactful projections is an understanding of our need for global environmental awareness, our need for social unification and our need for cultural preservation through art.

We’ve all heard the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words” and in UNESCO’s culturally diverse and rich environment, this will ring true. Large images will impact participants and observers more than any string of words possibly could.

Geodesic Projection Domes and Spheres are the ideal artistic canvas when producing radical social ecosystems. When inside of a circular space, the human experience is flexed. The mind is free to quite literally think outside the box. This is why projection domes and spheres have become the exemplary artful edifice for communicating the power behind the Mosaic of Change.

UNESCO 70th Anniversary- 360 Projection Dome in Paris

A picture says a thousand words. Climate change and preserving the beauty of our planet and culture are the main theme in Paris this weekend.

Pacific Domes International made a custom cover for the “Representative Globe” at the World Heritage Center, creating a 360 projection sphere for a UNESCO (United Nations Education Science and Cultural Organization) movement called the Mosaic of Change. Obscura Digital, a San Francisco based company, will be bringing the UNESCO sphere to life through the artful projection of large-scale images.

70 years ago UNESCO, was born to encourage international peace and respect for human rights through the collaboration of nations. Their goals are to preserve the world heritage of art and culture. Today, their job is more important than ever, as awareness and education are key components to global enlightenment.

The Mosaic of Change will be seen by the world on the Representative Globe of UNESCO. A theme of One Earth, One ocean and the world bridging of humanity will be experienced through stunning visuals. Representatives from all nations are gathering to celebrate this common vision and to work together in an expedient fashion to make evident the changes necessary achieve this.
