Biosphere Dome Projects… Meeting the Challenge thru Mycoremediation

“Nature is trying very hard to make us succeed, but nature does not depend on us. We are not the only experiment.” R. Buckminster Fuller (Visionary Architect & Engineer of the Geodesic Dome)

Biosphere Dome Projects are rising to meet the challenge of creating global environmental solutions to some of the complexities of living responsibly in our modern world through self-sustaining Biosphere Domes, BioDomes & BioEnergy Dome Villages. Pacific Domes, an award winning futuristic dome company, based in Ashland, Oregon, manufactures Biosphere Domes. One of the challenges of growing in enclosed systems lies in balancing the exchange of gases between the ecosystems and atmosphere, notably oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Pacific Domes, in concert with MycoRiseUp.Com, has joined the growing ranks of supporters in championing the research work of “Mycofiltration” and "Mycoremediation" pioneered by the world renowned, mycologist, Paul Stamets (see link below). Mycofiltration involves the use of mycorrhizal fungal mats as biological filters. Mycoremediation is the cultivation of mushrooms to assist with restoration, replenishment and remediation of overburdened ecosystems. Through earth based science, Biosphere Dome Projects are forging a new era of commitment to integrating the innate Intelligence found in Nature’s self-sustained ecosystems.
